Arturia launches the new Tape Mello plugin -Fi, ideal for generating vintage lofi vibes in your productions.
Tape Mello-Fi is an easy-to-use plugin that adds vintage and chill feels to anything. It is inspired by Mellotron, an electronic keyboard that appeared in the 1960s that uses tape loops to create sounds. As well as others lofi effect plugins, this plugin makes the sound seem processed by a tape tape.
But it’s not just that, it also has a vintage preamp, low pass and high pass filters, as well as a subtle old school tape noise. It works great on instruments, vocals, drums and practically any sound.
These are its characteristics:
- Includes classic tape controls such as Noise, Flutter, Wow, Wear and Mechanics
- Distortion and Boost functions
- Interactive tape wheel with tempo-synchronized Tape Stop function, or optionally, Instant Tape Catch-up.
- Stereo Width function that shifts the “Wow” and “Flutter” effects from left to right, to give a larger stereo image sensation.
- 12 dB low-pass and high-pass filter
- The library includes 25 presets settings
- Compatible with Apple M1
I have to admit that I’m a little late for this plugin, but we still have time to get it for free. Until December 31, 2021, this plugin will be available for free download on Arturia. Then, I understand it will cost $99.
